Mount Edgecombe Retirement Village ends 2018 on a high
It has been approximately a year and a half since introducing our Retire KZN community to the Mount Edgecombe Retirement Village opportunity. Since then, this remarkable retirement offering has made huge strides in the property market and caught the attention of many looking for the ultimate in retirement lifestyle.
To date, Mount Edgecombe Retirement Village is almost 80% sold and has already seen R70 million in transfers this year. This means that around 18 transfers have taken place with 7 homeowners already moved in and some 4 tenants taking residence throughout the holidays.
With construction and landscaping of Phase 1A 90% complete, next year will attract many more happy owners and tenants alike. The onsite Care Centre was confirmed as a R100 million investment into the estate, and the biggest frail care centre in KwaZulu-Natal at no cost to the owners. As of now, the onsite Care Centre is 85% complete and is due to open by March 2019. The facility is already under TotalCare’s management and they are conducting medical assessments with current residents.
“We have always intended to build the Care Centre within Phase 1, to ensure all our residents have access to this important facility from the get-go. Our partnership with TotalCare, has ensured that the services on hand will be of the utmost highest standard. We can’t wait to welcome the rest of our homeowners and see them settled in and making use of the facilities Mount Edgecombe Retirement Village and Kindlewood Estate have on offer for them,” shares David Cameron, developer representative for Mount Edgecombe Retirement Village.
Having had such a progressive year, Retire KZN looks forward to seeing what Mount Edgecombe Retirement Village will achieve in 2019, especially with so much already planned for the first half.
